California Lawyers for the Arts is conducting a statewide survey of individuals involved in the Arts to determine interest in e-learning as an option to expand access to educational programming statewide.
California Lawyers for the Arts seeks to develop greater awareness and involvement by the legal community to the needs and interests of artists and arts organizations; and provides educational programs and legal services, such as Legal Referral and Arts Arbitration and Mediation, to the arts community.
Currently, educational programs are in-person events hosted in the Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, and Sacramento metropolitan areas that seek to assist artist and arts organizations gain greater competency in handling their legal and business affairs by providing means of appropriate self-help though preventative education about best practices, rights and obligations; through the launch of an e-learning pilot program, C.L.A. hopes to reach artists and art organization in regions of California not currently supported by existing educational programs.
