Over the Edge, Lillé Mc Ghee-Queen
Caffé Trieste presents: "The Changing World of Abstract Art!" - Lillé Mc Ghee-Queen, Artist
Artist's Reception: First Friday, OCTOBER 3, 2008 - 8pm 'til late
The Artist combines selected paintings from her 20th and 21st Century Abstract
Art Galleries -- "Mother, Nature & Art" (and) "Girlfriends Art Gallery." Each painting is
powerful and engaging, capturing a significant moment and message in history.
The Artist begins with a clear vision: a vivid image, a single brush stroke which ultimately creates texture and design. Splashes of vibrant colors bring 'life' to a blank canvas and intricately woven into visually striking images, (e.g., Hurricane Katrina, El Nino, Locked Up In Jail, Mount Saint Helen's Eruption, Girlfriends In Jamaica Waters, Global Warming, Silicon Valley 'On-Line', Mother Pregnant W/Child, Black & White Roots, Sand Storms), and more. The experiences are true, the title and story lines are real. The images are UNFORGETTABLE! Lillé will also have available her hand-strung & colorful "trendy" bracelets, her recent inspirational books as well as free copies of the Women's Connection Magazine.
Exhibit on view through October 25, 2008
This exhibit is in partnership with Phantom Galleries.
