Steven Borelli, Right Brain Rebel

Steve Borelli will be showing new, large-size, limited edition, gicleé canvases of his black and white pen and ink work as well as using this opportunity to debut the first of his abstract oil paintings.

About Steve Borelli:
Steve Borelli has been drawing since he was a fetus. The inside of his mother's womb is tattooed with the nonsensical scribblings of his overactive imagination. Upon birth, greeted by a world that idolizes imitation, praises repetition, and disdains individuality, he vowed to always use his talent and creativity as weapons in the never ending battle with mediocrity, a battle he fights on many fronts: graphic design, drawing, photography, animation, and now, painting.

1,001 Nights New paintings and curiosities by Woody Miller.

Taking the 1,001 Nights as inspiration, these paintings are snippets of stories, or small views into a long journey. Paintings that reflect mythical forests, forbidden cities, talking birds and singing sirens lushly filled with color.

Based on the idea that life is a series of stories or events, each one lovely in it's own way, but combined make a powerful story together. There will be mixed media paintings along with handmade felt trinkets all full of color, shape, and textures inspired by children's book art, moonlit nights, exotic locales, Chagal, Alma-Tadema, orientalist paintings, Tin-Tin, music, and much more.

About Woody Miller:
Fueled by the soothing sounds of Bossa Nova, the hip-shaking kick of Bebop, and many mugs of hot Moroccan spiced tea, Woody’s art creates a world that is strangely familiar, yet mysteriously distant. His work draws inspiration from the exotic ancient days of Egypt, Persia and Morocco, to the swingin’, hip, relaxed jazz of the 50’s and 60’s.

Woody’s work has been telling whimsical narratives with a bent towards children’s art since his art school days at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. His work is often playful and colorful, while evoking strong atmospheric qualities.
