Phantom Galleries is proud to partner again this year with the CINEQUEST Film Festival by providing artists Kimy Martinez, Sean Sczepanik and Steven Sczepanik for their MAVERICK ART live painting contest.
Cinequest Empowers Mavericks through the creation and discovery of cinematic art and innovation plus the connection of artists, innovators, movie lovers and students. A Maverick stands apart from the crowd, willing to create and innovate from a place of personal yet global vision. Daring to act as a catalyst of dynamic change in a cookie cutter world; the boundaries become endless when inspired by ingenious thinking. Thus, the Maverick spirit thrives within the world of art and innovation.
Kimy, Sean and Steven will all be on site, visible in the windows (on the pedestrian paseo side), of Camera 12 Cinemas beginning Wednesday, March 2nd and working throughout the festival until the Closing Gala on Saturday, March 12 where the artists will be acknowledged on stage at the California Theater in front of 1200 people.
Come by and say "hi" to these artists while you're cruising between films and vote for your favorite painting (there will be text voting - follow the instructions on the window signage.)
