"Walls of Fame" Saturday November 19th, 7-11pm
Empire Seven invites you to a new exhibit featuring a great line up of San Jose's old school Graffiti writers native to this city. During Force 129's younger and most recent years he's always admired people like King 157, the man created the first top to bottom holy roller(s) and Poesia, hitting up the Legendary Taylor walls where storage units live strong today.
We have noticed Force 129 in some recent shows such as The Usuals with the PARKBENCH art collective and at Gallery 10. During the show at the Usuals, Force 129 exhibited with one of his idols Mesengr. Force 129 seized the opportunity to ask Mesengr if he would be part of what he calls his dream show. With such a great line up and idea behind it, E7S couldn't pass up the opportunity to bring this show to San Jose.
Force 129, King 157, Mesengr and Poesia has converted Empire Seven Studios into a street scene most people and writers can relate in one way or another. You don't know if you're indoors or out.
Growing up in San Jose 80's and 90's, the graffiti scene was nonstop, in full force and many know these veterans paid their dues. Poesia has been painting murals all over the world consistantly as well as Mesengr throughout the country. King 157 has been up and down Cali and as far as Mexico for years now.
The life insists you do it daily and they don't slow down even though life changes with work and family.
Please bring a can or two to donate as we're supporting the Second Harvest Food Bank. SHFB provides food to people in need in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. Make a difference in your community.
