Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose (CDM) is preparing for Holidays Unboxed: A Spectacle of Cardboard and Tape partnering with architect Eric Lennartson to design a packing tape installation at CDM. Daily volunteers are needed to help us bring these creations to life beginning on Saturday, December 1st and through Thursday, December 6th.
Our specific volunteer needs and scheduling information are as follows:
We are seeking volunteers for AM and PM SHIFTS on Saturday, December 1st - Wednesday, December 6th. Volunteer on any one day, or for multiple shifts over multiple days. The nature of this work is physical. Volunteers must be comfortable bending and squatting, lifting, and reaching overhead. Standing on ladders may also be a requirement as needed. Volunteers should think of this as a yoga/pilates/gym hybrid experience.
Anyone who is comfortable with these requirements and particularly those in the architectural, design, mechanical engineering, or construction should feel 100% at home with this volunteer gig! College students pursuing design degrees with knowledge of materials and eye for detail… we need you! Craftspeople and makers - you, too! Dancers? Rock climbers? Sure!
Please sign-up to volunteer by adding your company name, first/last name, and checking only the shift(s) for which you are committed to volunteering at CDM. You will receive an email confirmation with detailed information. Sign-up here: http://www.doodle.com/b69sq5yfzn8hi9bt
